It’s been a minute. Almost two months since I published a post. It feels real bad. How could I possibly abandon this blog? I had gotten attached to it in a mystical way. It used to motivate me and whenever I looked back at a previous post, I felt my blood rush and a gush of excitement. I’m back now, bigger and better. Literary.(I’ve added some pounds). Lol. Continue reading “Been a Minute”
Last week I created my first real project, a Signup & Login page, connected to MySql database, where the user details are stored. You can check it out Here. I’ve been working on a new, exciting project: A simple School Management System. At the moment it is just a simple system, but I intend to build it up, adding more advanced features along the way. I don’t know about you but this is an exciting Friday for me. I’m all smiles :-). The picture above is an actual screenshot of what I’ve been working on yesterday. I didn’t mention that I finally completed the Java: A Beginners Guide book did I? Actually I did! Haha, It has been a gruesome journey, lots of despair and losing hope but it has been quite fun. I have already forgotten most of what I have learnt, but now I can comfortably read Java code and create small programs. It is really exciting to achieve something. I am not where I want to be, but at least I am assured that I am on my way there!
Hello, It’s me. I was wondering if after all these days you’d like to read a post from me. They say a blog is supposed to be updated daily, but I ain’t done much listening. Hello, can you hear me? I’m in Nairobi, dreaming about what it would feel like being a Full stack developer :-). There’s such a difference between where I am and where I want to be. Okay, enough with Adele already! Continue reading “Hello, It’s Me”
It’s been some time since I last posted. That doesn’t mean I’ve not been working my ass off. In fact, I have. I’m still studying using the book “Java: A beginners guide”. It is really smooth, great examples. The examples pick up from each other, creating a sense of growth. The English is quite good, no jargon. The writer doesn’t goof around and reading it makes you feel like you are being guided by an expert. But I’m not really doing a book review here am I? Continue reading “Lovin’ It!”
It’s Friday. I don’t know why Fridays are so long. Maybe its because we wait eagerly for Fridays. But the Irony is, you wait hard but really, there’s nothing important or intriguing you do. It ends up being another day. Just like yesterday. Well, here we are again. I’m quite sulky today, don’t really know why because I woke up feeling happy and excited about the day. Anyways that’s life, we have to face every day. We have to wake up and do something. The ultimate goal is to get somewhere and today is defined by what we did yesterday. Continue reading “Progress is made on alternate Fridays.”
Haha, ignore the headline, just wanted your attention. No cows or axes in here bruh! It’s been a while. Sometimes I wonder, is this a Java diary? or do I just jot down my mind to motivate myself and lie to myself, who knows? We’ll find out the day I post the algorithm I used to create the first ever.. first ever what? Everybody’s creating, I think ideas will run out some day. I mean, Elon Musk with Tesla, Google’s self-driving cars, Drones, etc. With the emergence of BIg Data, Internet of Things & Cloud computing the world is going crazy. Anyway, this is a Java blog, everything else is BS here!
We are here again. Haven’t posted in a while, but I’ve been studying. No lie.Much has happened since the last post. I’ve had both good & bad experiences with Java. Frustrations & joy. I’ve covered a few chapters from my Java book. I now have knowledge on concepts like recursion, method overloading, nested & Inner classes and much more. Continue reading “Keep on truckin!”
